We’re upgrading our systems!
We’re pleased to let you know that we’ll have a brand new website and booking system ready for you shortly. It’s something our team have been working on for a long time, and not even COVID-19 could stop us in bringing you this new and improved online experience.
Whilst we are making the necessary changes behind the scenes, we are unable to take any bookings and you won’t be able to login into your account at this time. We expect the new site to be up and running on/around Friday 25 September, so please check back then.
Many thanks for your patience and support at this time.
A staged reading of this brand new play from Nottingham Playhouse Associate Artist Sarah ‘Rain’ Kolawole. Directed by Madeleine Kludje.
Carly is a young Social Worker, conflicted by a case which triggers memories of her own childhood experiences in the care system. Her younger sister, who is white, was adopted by her ‘forever after’ family, whilst Carly – who is Black, ‘mixed race’ – remained in the care system.
Struggling to make the right decision for the little girls on her caseload and battling the views of her management, Carly painfully reminisces on the moments leading up to, and following her separation from her sister.
This gripping and heartfelt new play seeks to explore issues around ‘race’ and identity within the care system, and provoke discussions around sibling relationships and separation.
