Encore is a friendly theatre group for over 55s who want to engage with theatre more closely. Each session will focus on a different talk, workshop or Q&A session with a range of freelance art practitioners and industry professionals. All are welcome and activities are suitable for everyone. Encore meet on the second Tuesday of the month 1:30 – 3:30 with refreshments provided.
All workshop based activities will be fully accessible, but members can elect to observe if they feel more comfortable with this.

Musicals, songwriting and more with Joshua Goodman Director, Musical director and composer, Joshua Goodman will share stories of his career to date, including work with York Theatre Royal, Chicken Shed Theatre and on several productions in Nottingham and the Midlands. A talented songwriter, Josh will play and share his work and perhaps even give us all some tips on writing our own songs.

How Acting Skills Can Benefit the Day to Day Led by Playhouse Freelancer Alex Preston, this fascinating session explores how the games, training and techniques actors use in their work have multiple uses outside of the theatre world.
