Playhouse staff to run Experian Festival Half Marathon
Nottingham Playhouse is delighted to be participating in this year’s Cooper Parry Corporate Challenge as part of the Experian Robin Hood Festival of Running on Sunday 11 September
Last year we ran the half marathon as the golden eggs from our panto Mother Goose, and this year we will be running as characters from our 2011 pantomime Cinderella!
Look out for a couple of Ugly Sisters, a Fairy Godmother, Buttons and of course Cinderella herself! Rich Surgay (Customer Relations Manager), Derek Graham (Membership Manager), Tony Topping (Deputy Technical Manager), Bea Grist (Marketing and Communications Manager) and Sarah Richard (Head of Paintshop), will be running dressed as these characters – can you tell who is who?!
We are running in support of the Dame Kelly Holmes Legacy Trust which gives children and young people the chance to work with, be inspired by, and learn from the experience of world-class sports stars.
A key part of Nottingham’s annual fiesta of fitness is the Cooper Parry Corporate Challenge, whereby the locally-based firm of business advisers dares other local companies to field relay teams in the half-marathon event. The UK’s largest corporate relay, it has already raised £200,000 for charity over the past seven years and the Playhouse team hopes to boost the total further by going the extra mile for the Kelly Holmes Legacy Trust. Or to be precise, 13.1 miles between them.
We would be extremely grateful for any donation you can make. From pennies to pounds, everything goes to help this tremendous cause. And if you see us on race day – please give us a cheer!
