In response to our potential loss of funding from Nottinghamshire County Council, Nottingham City Transport has generously shown its support for Nottingham Playhouse by offering free bus travel to and from the theatre until the end of February.
Anyone travelling on a Nottingham City Transport bus to come and see a show at Nottingham Playhouse before 28 February can benefit from this offer.
The special free Playhouse Saver Bus Tickets are now available over the phone or in person at the Box Office – not online. They are valid on all Nottingham City Transport buses within the Greater Nottingham City area. Tickets are valid for one inward and one outward journey until the last bus at midnight.
Stephanie Sirr, Chief Executive of Nottingham Playhouse, commented: “We are extremely grateful to Nottingham City Transport who have shown their generous support for Nottingham Playhouse by saving our customers up to £3.40 each on their travel to the theatre. We are keen to encourage our audience members to make use of Nottingham’s excellent public transport links – saving money as well as lowering their carbon footprint”.
Pick up a Playhouse Saver bus ticket to see the last performances of our pantomime, Jack and the Beanstalk, stand-up comedians Stewart Lee, Punt & Dennis and Russell Kane, or our brand new musical play My Judy Garland Life.
Anthony Carver-Smith, Marketing Manager for Nottingham City Transport commented: “The Playhouse Saver ticket is the perfect, cost effective solution to make your way to Nottingham Playhouse and back as well – beating the on-street parking charges and giving you the freedom for a drink after the show as well”.
Free Playhouse Saver bus tickets are available from our Box Office – simply call 0115 941 9419 or visit the friendly team. Playhouse Saver tickets must accompany a valid Nottingham Playhouse theatre ticket. Terms and conditions apply.
