This time last week we were still enjoying the neat14 festival. If you came to any of the festival events then you are in for a chance of winning an iPad. All you need to do is complete the short feedback survey. Your feedback will help us understand what you did and did not enjoy the most, so we can make the next festival even better.
The festival opened to a full house on Friday 23 May with the first ever screening of Mass Bolero. It was then used to launch Notts TV on Tuesday 27 May. The following day it was released on YouTube and to date has clocked up almost 37,000 views! If you haven’t seen the video yet you can see it here.
The festival closed with another world premiere and another Bolero; this time it was that of writer and director Michael Pinchbeck and his creative colleagues drawn from across Europe. Bolero weaved together the stories of Torvill & Dean dancing themselves into Olympic legend 30 years ago, the outbreak of World War One, the war that engulfed Sarajevo more recently and Ravel’s Bolero.
The festival lasted ten days and with so many great events come so many wonderful memories. Thousands of photographs were taken throughout the festival and you can see a small selection of them here in the gallery above – enjoy!
